Bruce Watson is the Deputy Dean / Head of School Faculty of Built Environment, School of Architecture + Design, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. He has held positions as the Director of Interior Architecture and as an Academic Board member at UNSW. Watson is a Board member for the ‘Australia Council of the Deans and Directors of the Creative Arts’; www.ddca.edu.au and was Chair of the Interior Design/Architecture Educators Association, IDEA www.idea-edu.com

Bruce Watson’s areas of research are entwined in Sustainable futures, Higher education management and policy, Design Studio Learning & Teaching. His explorations into Design began as an artist studying and exhibiting in the realms of ‘object’ and the agency of object as spatial narrative and developed through to Architecture and urban interventions.

Watson holds Degrees from The College of Fine Arts, UNSW & Architecture and Architectural Science degrees from the University of Sydney. He has practiced as Artist, Architect, Interior Architect. His designs for Buildings, Interiors, Furniture parallel both in philosophy and form from many of his Objects exhibited and an artist.
